And Breathe........

And Breathe........

(Did I mention that I love meditation?)

I had an anxiety attack today.

(over sharing again)

The only thing that helped me was grounding myself.

Grounding is a form of meditation.

It works wonders and can help you in every aspect of your daily lives.

I am speaking from experience.

Whether you are in a difficult conversation at work or you face a challenging situation at home, just a few seconds of breathing can make a massive positive difference.

Pause.

Allow yourself the time to acknowledge that you need a moment (this is a crucial step in the process)

And then just inhale. Take in a deep breath of fresh air.

Exhale. Send the air back out.

Inhale the goodness.

Exhale the bad juju.

Focus only on your breathing*

Repeat for as long as you can afford to take a time out.

I mean it when I say, even if that is only 10-15 seconds it can still help.

But the longer the better.

(BTW..... you just meditated!)

The benefits of just having a few seconds of focused breathing are simple - you are calmer.

You respond better when you are calmer. You make better decisions when you are calmer.

You gain more clarity in that moment.

The idea is to breathe long enough to give yourself time to be present in that moment.

When you do respond......that is a post for a different day!

But from this post, I hope you take away that taking a few seconds for yourself. To breathe. Gives you the chance of navigating your landscape far more smoothly.

And you can do this multiple times in a day if you need to.

Don't take my word for it. Try it for Yourself!

*If you are new to meditation then focusing only on your breathing is a great place to start. If you further explore meditation and practice meditating for longer, then you will be able to do more than just focus on your breathing. I use meditation as an integral part of my morning routine to prepare me for the day ahead. I meditate to create content. I meditate to travel to astral plains where I give myself motivation and inspiration. If you want to delve more into meditation then click this video below.
